What’s up, I’m Claudia, a full-time writer and environmental enthusiast. I became a blogger in 2020 because with the struggle to navigate the year and dip in environmental efforts, I wanted to help others realize their potential to live a sustainable and happy life. When I’m not dancing, traveling the world (not during COVID), being outside, or hanging with my friends and family I write about finding peace in everyday life, healthy habits, and helping to do our part in the environment!
I’m here to provide you with amazing (and easy) tools to take small steps toward green living and leading a healthy, fulfilling life.
With that being said, you’ll see two categories on this blog:
I think we could all use a touch of sweetness. After the stress of 2020 where I saw my significant other 5 out of the 52 weeks, saw deaths unfold around me, tackled the process of unemployment, and tried not to lose hope, I knew it was time to talk about being happier and realizing what we have to offer (which is a lot). Working on ourselves is a very strong form of bettering the atmosphere around us which leads to healthier choices. Taking 3 minutes a day to mindfully meditate (here are 14 days of it for free) or discovering how to be more productive at work are steps to making an impact on your health and well-being.
The main idea here is to show small sustainable steps lead to enormous impacts on the planet. You don’t have to live waste-free to make a difference. You could buy a Hydro Flask reusable water bottle or buy from a sustainable clothing brand and BOOM! You’ve just made a positive change toward the environment. Every little bit helps, I promise.
If you’re wondering what my credentials are, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and Spanish while I head toward my Master’s in Environmental Studies. I’ve had a passion for the natural world for as long as I can remember and recently finished a Harvard course on The Health Effects of Climate Change, which I highly recommend.
